Happy New Year!  I think 2012 is going to be a great year!  I feel like 2011 was a “plan it” year, and now 2012 is the year to “implement it”.  So many exciting things in the pipeline for Merchant No. 4, but today, I’m thinking about #8 on my personal ‘To Do in 2012 List’, which is….revamp the bedroom. You know how bedrooms can sometimes be that last thought in the house?  The room that becomes more utilitarian above all else?  So although the title of this post is quite the opposite of what I want to do in 2012, here are a few inspirational bedroom photos.  Which one is your favorite?

Say hello to Mr. Cooper – new at merchant4.com.  Designed by Kate Stokes of Coco Flip Design Studio in Melbourne, this gorgeous copper pendant was inspired by the old tin can telephones or “lovers telephone”.  Complete with antique herringbone fabric chord, this light has us reminiscing about a time when life (and design) was simple and honest.
